Fair Trade Fight comes to Glasgow
13/02/2007
An international group of companies will be spreading the message of Fair Trade next month in a march across Glasgow.
The Global Journey procession, made up of charities, shops and food manufacturers that belong to the Fair Trade International Partnership, will march from George Square to Glasgow Concert Hall, on March 3, finishing at The Fair Trade Experience event.
The group, whose UK members include Oxfam, Traidcraft, Tearcraft and Divine Chocolate, is calling for greater equity in international trade and support for poor and marginalised producers.
The Global Journey procession leaves from George Square at 1pm on Saturday March 3.
