23/03/2007
A major supermarket chain has announced plans to sell only 100 per cent cage-free eggs.
Sainsbury's says that by 2012 it will only sell eggs from free-range hens, or hens kept in barns with access to natural light. It is the first of the big four supermarkets to make the changes.
