Producers urged to enter Organic Awards
30/03/2007
The Soil Association Scotland is urging Scottish producers to enter their products into this year's Organic Food Awards.
The Awards, which include “producer of the year”, “best local food initiative”, “box scheme of the year” and “organic trophy”, are aimed at deepening consumers' understanding of organic farming and food production and promoting excellence throughout the organic supply chain.
The four Scottish winners of last year's awards included Inverawe Smokehouses, and the Black Isle Brewery, who both enjoyed the marketing benefit of advertising their awards on their packaging. This year, the organisers are hoping to see even more entries from Scottish producers.
The deadline for entries is April 27, with a presentation ceremony in Bristol. For a registration form log on to www.soilassociation.org
