03/04/2007
Two Edinburgh restaurants will be celebrating the Bengali New Year this month with traditional three-course banquet.
Voujon, in Newington Road, and Zest, in North St Andrew Street, will both be serving special feasts, featuring a variety of starters, curries and traditional puddings on April 15. At Zest, entertainment will include traditional music and dancing and staff will be wearing traditional dress.
Voujon owner, Salim Miah, said: “We celebrate the new year at home with a huge feast and lots of family. We wanted to recreate the colour and aroma of Bangladesh in the restaurant and gives diners an opportunity to try a range of dishes.” Voujon's three-course banquet costs £18.95 per head.
