– The Scottish Beef Cattle Association has appointed Brian Simpson as its first executive/development officer, in a part-time post.

– Beanscene coffee and music house chain has opened its second Beanscene Espresso in Edinburgh this week, at South Gyle Crescent, in South Gyle Business Park. The company has also been revealed as the anchor tenant at the Heart of Hawick, at Tower Hill, a multi-agency arts and heritage initiative opening at the start of June.
 
– Broxburn-based Campbells Prime Meats has doubled its profits in the last 12 months.
