New Course Provides Organic Know-how
05/02/2007
A one-day course aims to plug the organic food gap in Scotland by helping people set up new organic food businesses.
With demand for locally-grown, organic vegetables far outstripping supply, the Soil Association Scotland is holding a one-day event in early March for those wanting to get involved in organic horticulture.
The course, aimed at growers who have not yet set up a commercial business or those wishing to expand an existing business, will cover topics such as how to find land, business planning, horticultural production and advice on marketing.
The event takes place on March 3 at the Quaker Meeting Rooms, Edinburgh. To book your place, or for further details, contact Lyn Matheson on 0131 666 0847 or email lmatheson@soilassociation.org.
