WSET Level 1 Foundation Certificate

The Foundation Certificate (Hospitality) is designed to be an entry level qualification providing an introduction to wine for people in the hospitality industry. It is ideal for boosting the confidence of new or inexperienced front-line staff.

The course provides basic product knowledge and the skills required for the service of wine.

Students will be introduced to:

· The WSET® tasting technique
· Characteristics of the main grape varieties used to make wine
· The service of wine
· Health, safety and legal issues
