Granny Jackson's: Let Loose about Scotland...again!
Last year, Granny Jackson's toured Highland Games all across the length and breadth of bonny Scotland to develop customer awareness of our brand and promote our sweets. Well this year, we're doing it all again as it proved really successful but we have expanded! The season starts off in April where we will be one of the founder traders at the Great Scottish Walks' and Great Wee Walks' Markets. Following into the Summer with our popular Highland Games Tour, May Day trading at New Lanark's Food and Gift Fair and then trading in August at the Aberdeen Blooms Festival. Our Christmas period is busy too with us attending at local and national events. Keep droping by this page for updates or subscribe to our newsletter (newsletter@grannyjacksons.com).Dates are being added all the time, but we're aiming to at least double last year's 30 venues! We would love you to come along and support the Walks, Games and Events we visit. And when you do, drop by our stall and say hello, and when you're buying some of our Scottish Sweets remember and tell us you read about us on the website and we'll give you a free Granny Jackson's pen as a wee thank you!

Innovation EG initiative
Jamie Wallace, in his capacity as business owner of Granny Jackson's, has been accepted as a 'rising star' and is to participate in 'innovation eg' a new project which forms part of the Glasgow Edinburgh Collaboration Initiative.
The project is aimed at encouraging new, collaborative thinking from young professionals in Scottish tourism and hospitality and will be coached and mentored by experienced leaders to develop a range of creative concepts that would help attract new visitors to Scotland. The project starts on Monday, 25th February, at Glasgow's Science Centre.
When Jamie first found out about the project he grew excited and knew that, business leadership skills aside, his experience from trading at Highland Games and Music Festivals last year, as well as his past experience in the hospitality industry, would be important contributions to the project.
Of course, that's not all that's at stake! Having exchanged ideas, the next phase of the project is to collaborate in teams which are made up from young professionals from the East and West coasts. During this phase, the project teams will work towards submitting a well-researched proposal for consideration; from which five will be chosen for the final event where the proposals will be presented to a panel of star experts and an audience from Scottish tourism who will vote to decide the winning concept.
Card Kit Company
Edinburgh based business Card Kit Company has joined forces with Granny Jackson's to produce Scottish Favour Boxes. Granny Jackson's supplies the Scottish Sweets to fill the boxes which are designed and created by Marie-Claire Warren, owner of Card Kit Company. Marie-Claire now intends to join Jamie on his Tartan Tour of Scottish outdoor events which last year proved successful and really popular with customers and organisers alike.
Marie-Claire and Jamie met several months ago at Glasgow Elevator Business Networking, run by PSYBT. They are now regular delegates of the Edinburgh Elevator Business Networking since its inauguration in March.
